BELALANG \\ CÀO CÀO: TRANSLOCAL PERFORMANCE LAB is a collaborative performance lab, seeking to connect Southeast Asian artists/theater practitioners across disciplines.
Through our open call, we select participants to attend an intensive 3-weeks residency in Jakarta, Indonesia. The lab culminates in an open studio performance presented by participants, inviting audiences to witness the collaborative work.

Is there an open call to participate in this program?
We had an open call for Southeast Asian artists from May 6 to June 2, 2025. This open call is now officially closed. From 100+ applicants, our curators have selected 8 artists to attend the lab in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Will there be a performance for public audience?
Yes. The 3-week lab will end with an open studio performance at Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta. Details on audience registration will be available soon.
