JAKARTA PRODUCER MEETINGS 2025

Continuing the initiative that began in 2023, the Jakarta Producers Meeting returns—this time stepping beyond internal conversations to engage directly with Jakarta’s wider arts public and performance communities at DITP 2025. As performing arts practices continue to expand in abundance and diversity, this gathering opens space for dialogue on the shifting roles and significance of producers in an ever-evolving ecosystem.

Far from being mere providers of capital, producers are increasingly recognized as rhythm-keepers, navigators, and facilitators of possibility. As new forums emerge and practices are exchanged, the role of the producer is being embraced with greater clarity and courage. Amidst the overflow of ideas and productions, this meeting becomes an invitation to pause and reflect: what is essential to sustain, to nurture, and to collectively fight for within the performance landscape?
